About the Role:
A Little Journey Montessori is seeking experienced, full-time Lead Teachers to guide one of our classrooms — Nido (infant) or Pre-Primary (toddler). We are looking to fill one position in each classroom. This is a hands-on leadership role in the classroom: you’ll set the tone, run the environment, and be the steady, trusted adult our families rely on every day.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as Lead Teacher for your classroom, overseeing daily routines, lesson planning, and classroom environment.
- Guide and mentor assistant teachers within your room.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
- Maintain a prepared, orderly Montessori environment aligned with best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents on their child’s progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Lead Teacher or in a similar leadership classroom role.
- Montessori certification preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A calm, confident, and nurturing presence with young children.
- Reliability and a genuine commitment to early childhood education.
